I believe Bellview Middle is quickly on its way to being one of the top schools in Pensacola. The principle is doing an amazing job she now has three year teams. So instead of your student getting lost in a faceless mob of middle schoolers, they are one of 150 per a team. These teachers are now teaching students for their individual needs. We have a foster daughter who came to live with us in 7th she was on first grade reading level. By the end of 8th they had brought her up to grade level while helping, and respecting her emotional issues. My daughter attended their advanced Inquires team. The Inquires made advanced learning fun and taught her great learning and study strategies. Her and several classmates all started the IB program this year and are not struggling at. A good # of students from Bellview go on to attend IB and W. Florida. They send more students to State and National History, and Science fairs than other schools. Bellview is becoming one of the best. Bellview may have issues but all schools do. In the past it was rough but I believe if people would even go tour the school they would be surprised and how proud their child is a Bellview Warrior.

I attended all three years at this school from 2000-2003 and it was absolutely fantastic. The teachers were amazing and they always did their best to help their students. Despite what others may think, this school is NOT one of the worst; it takes effort and hard work if you want to go far. If it weren't for skills that I was taught in this school and shown how to better understand things from the teachers along with my own persistence to keep myself focused and on track, I would not have been the student that I am today. I graduated from this school with above average grades and have NEVER wished otherwise. Don't ever let someone else's negative thinking and words affect your choice. Belleview Middle School is one of the best out there and they really offer their students a lot of opportunities! The teachers are fantastic and they always go out of their way to better help their students!

What a shocker !! My son has been attending for almost 2 years now. He has become a different child due to his peers pressuring him. He is unable to concentrate, focus or retain any knowledge. He never comes home with homework. He only comes home with reminders of the days criminal activities. He is an incredibly smart, hansome and very respectful young man that is being deprived of his right to an education. It is not fair to students that want to go somewhere in life that are forced to go to school because of where they live! My son is a leader not a follower. He is not doing well in school and has begged me to take him out and put in a better school. Where are the better schools these days? Why so much violence and hate? Drugs and alcohol? Where are the leaders of our kids today?

My daughter's been there for 2 years and I've wanted her out since the beginning. I never see much homework coming home, it's as if the teachers don't want to be bothererd. They seem to pass kids to the next grade even if they aren't making the grade. The problems with the students/discipline in the school make any learning environment a challenge which is too bad for the students that are there to learn. My daughter has told me on numerous occasions that she doesn't feel the teachers teach anything. She goes to class daily, is told to take out a book, read and then answer a few questions on the board. Where's the instruction? Also, she's told me time and time again about 1 teacher in particular who texts on her phone the entire class period. Again, where's the instruction? You're getting paid to teach! As a parent it's frustrating!

My name is Heather. I went to Bellview all three years. I loved my teachers. That school is the best middle school ever. I go to West Florida now. And I still love going back and seeing my old teachers and seeing how things have changed!

while not the best or worst school in the county Bellview Middle actually does have teachers who give a crap about your kids. Unfortunately many of the truly outstanding efforts made are overshadowed by problems with children and other parents rather than the work teachers put forth in trying to educate. Most of you fail to realize that teachers truly have to teach to the lowest common denominator in a classroom and that often causes learning problems with kids who acheive at a higher level. I will admit that some teachers are just paid(not very well) babysitters but most really put forth an effort in the classroom only to be verbally or sometimes physically abused by a child or parent. Keep it in perspective and you'd understand better what pitfalls hit teachers in the face every day. I would ask that you attend class with your kids one day(or a week)

My two sons attended Bellview Middle in the 2007/2008 school year. I had a difficult time communicating with and receiving input from some of the teachers at Bellview Middle. There were a lot of fights and the disciplinary measures did not seem to affect the children there. I was/am appreciative of the awards program at the end of the school year where the teachers gave award certificates to the children that earned them for their accomplishments! Both of my sons received them.

My daughter loved this school! She said that this is one of the best school's she's been to(and we move a lot,so she goes to a lot of schools). She was on the basketball team and the track team. What I really liked was that her teachers were always in contact with me upon her grades dropping and how I could help her improve them!So I think that this is a very good school, and that anyone would enjoy going to school there!

I feel that there is a major lack of cooperation when it comes to a proper nurturing learning environment. When the teachers do not have control of the classroom, its almost impossible for the students to retain the information thats required to be promoted to the next grade. Teachers cannot expect to gain control in the second semester, but should achieve it from the beginning. When the teacher has lost control and the children have to fill out a no harassment contract, the parent should not have to follow up to insure the success of the contract. One thing that I would like to see in the near future is an internal audit of the contract system. If the contract system is not meeting its goal, a new system should be implemented to insure the standard is met. Its not enough to just say you have a no tolerance policy!

This school is for sure the worst school I have ever had to deal with. They don't care about the children at all. My son was sick one day so my wife called in to get his homework and they told her no because he was in school. My wife tried to explain to the crazy lady that he was sitting beside her and the school rep still wanted to argue with my wife telling my wife that he was in school. This is truely the worst school in the country. Please look at the school zones before you move here because the school Admin office will not let you transfer. So be cautious and double check before your child goes thru what ours is.

I will admit that this is not the best school in the world, but there are worse. I have had my issues with teachers not returning calls and following through, but that is not the case with all of them. You can't blame everything on the school, it takes teamwork.

This is one of the worst schools that my daughter has attended. Being military, we move quite often and frankly I am severely disappointed with this school. The lack of communication between parents and teachers (which in most cases is known to be vital) is rampant, and I find that the things being focused on are trivial at best. Thankfully we will be moving soon and look forward to her enrollment in a decent school.
